Peter Szechenyi is an attorney at the Law Office of Neil Burns. Peter received his bachelor's degree from Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He received his Juris Doctor degree in 2003 from New England School of Law, where he was the Executive Case & Note Editor of the law review. He has been a member of the Massachusetts Bar since that time.

Peter’s practice focuses on motor vehicle accident, litigation, and serious personal injury cases, including wrongful death cases, and civil practice. Peter works with Attorney Neil Burns on legal malpractice and personal bankruptcy litigation. Peter has also worked in construction litigation and landlord tenant matters. In particular, he represented the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in the complex litigation matter involving the renovation of the John Adams Courthouse. Peter represents many Hungarian American clients. He is fluent in Hungarian after spending an extended time in Hungary teaching English and founding an art institute, which still thrives.

Peter has worked for some of the top law firms in Boston. He worked on antitrust and securities litigation at Wilmer Hale; he worked as a supervising contract attorney at Berman DeValeria Pease on an accounting fraud case; he worked as an associate at Cirace & Associates in an active landlord tenant practice; and, he was a contract attorney at Ropes & Gray undertaking discovery in pharmaceutical, trademark and securities cases.

Peter’s publications include International War Crimes Prosecution Project: Memorandum for the Prosecutor’s Office of the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda: A Comparative Study of the Requirement for Production of Documentary Evidence and Its Probative Value (2002).
